• Purpose Our purpose with God was written into our hearts from the beginning. He told Adam to have dominion (Gen 1:26) over all things, including the serpent. After he failed, Jesus, the second Adam, who was given the authority, gave us the authority (Matt 18:18) to give others authority (2 Tim 1:6), or the True words that was always our God given right to get right back where Adam left off (2 Peter 1:19). The knowledge of this right, was seen in men like Elijah (1 Kings 17:22), Elisha (2 Kings 4:35) with the Spirit of God upon them, who wanted to think like God and not like men.
Our salvation comes from accepting the Lord, the Word. The more we accept of the Word (not picking and choosing what we like, but allowing Jesus to be Lord), the greater benefits we receive in this life (John 10:10, James 4:7, 8). We love our neighbor (Matt 22:39) and enemies (Luke 6:35) by giving what God has blessed us with, whether food (Luke 9:13), water (John 7:38), shelter (Luke 8:25) or healing (Acts 3:6).
If we live life with a closed hand (Prov. 28:27), a judgmental mind (Matt 7:3), or cares of this world (Mark 4:19) we get away from the direction of the Word and lose our purpose (1 Thess. 5:5-7) to build God’s family with strength and numbers. He has empowered us to become doers of the Word (James 1:24). When you hold unto the promises(Heb 10:35) and take the Word at face value, you are guaranteed to receive power for your life and others (Acts 1:8).
As heaven ‘cheers’ us on and directs us (Heb 12:1, Rom 8:27, 34); we will have more confidence in our purpose and fulfill our destiny by helping others to achieve theirs. Even if you are the only one around who believes (Rom 3:4), keep your confidence and stay away from the words of unbelievers as much as possible (1 Cor 15:33, 1 Thess 5:22).
We are familiar with what not to do (Ex. 20). We have grown from having to look at an image to heal us (Num 21:9, Acts 17:29, 30). We have even grown since Martin Luther’s 16th century time of just reading the bible to seeing an
exponential amount of miracles in the last 10 years on this planet. We are here to hand out those benefits of God by planting the seed of the Word (Matt 28:20), to prepare the minds of those in need (John 11:42), and picking up the treasures that the enemy gave up in defeat (Luke 11:22, Col 12:15).
If you make mistakes or fall short sometimes, don’t be self-conscious, but be God conscious. Get your priorities together (2 Tim 2:4). Our faith in Him is what gives us victory (1 John 5:4). He tells us in His Word we are perfect for the task (Matt 5:48) and chosen to do His will (John 15:16, 1 Peter 1:16, Col 1:21, 22). The Word backs up the believer (Mark 16:17). Accomplish the purpose that God has given you with the help of the Holy Spirit and see your destiny fulfilled!
