• This week: Security
There are four things that only God can truly give you.
• Acceptance
• Security
• Purpose
• Identity
The best security we know available is eternal life in peace with Our Father (John 3:16, 10:28, 14;3 Rev 21:4). As believer’s of God’s grace, we can rest assured that we don’t have to work for it (Eph 2:8-9, Titus 3:7). We also have security of Him being a provider; our Jehovah-Jireh (Gen 22:14, Matt 6:30, Phil 4:19), a helper in time of trouble (Ps 46:1), no matter what the economy around us does. He has already provided healing In advance for our bodies (Is 53:6, 1 Peter 2:24) so that His will is done on earth, even as it is in heaven. We can ask Him for anything (John 15:7) and His promises are always yes (2 Cor 1:20). He has only good plans for us (Jer 29:11), wants us to be in perfect peace (Is 26:3, John 14:27) and to have a long life (Ps. 91:16).
Psalm 23:1-6 The Voice Bible:
The Eternal is my Shepherd, He cares for me always. He provides me rest, green fields besides streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears. He makes me whole again, steering me off worn, hard paths to roads where truth and righteousness echo His name. Even in the unending shadows of deaths darkness, I am not overcome by fear. Because you are with me in those dark moments, near with Your protection and guidance, I am comforted. You spread out a table before me, provisions in the midst of attack from my enemies; You care for all my needs,
anointing my head with soothing, fragrant oil, filling my cup again and again with Your grace. Certainly Your faithful protection and loving provision will pursue me where I go, always, everywhere. I will always be with the Eternal, in
Your house forever.
