Have you accepted Jesus? The Word of God? Do you know who Jesus is? (John 15:15) How can you accept some one who you don’t know? If anyone teaches you a different Jesus then the one written in the bible you haven’t received the living Word of God that saves. You must study yourself to show yourself approved. (2 Tim 2:15).

A Barna research study shows most “Christians” confused about salvation:

6,242 adults nationwide were asked the question “Can a good person earn their way to heaven?” The yes percentage were as follows:

Ephesians 2:8,9 “By grace we are saved through faith; and not of ourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”

This form of self-righteousness is still being preached or passed over as well as other subjects as hell and repentance. Even some bible versions will say relent instead of repent.
