God’s way of thinking John 6
In a statement representing the communion of our Lord, Jesus said “Verily verily, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh (digest or internalize my way of thinking) of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life..my flesh is meat (the real food) and my blood is drink (the real drink)’. [v 53-55].
He said to believe (have faith) on the one whom God has sent, [v 29] is the work of God. Work for the meat that endures to everlasting life [v 27]. Come to Him to eat and believe on Him to drink [v35] or come to Him to receive His way of thinking and believe (trust in, cling to, adhere to) on Him to commune with Him.
We are created to think like God (1 Cor 2:16/Phil 2:5). The blood of Jesus redeemed us to commune with God in heavenly places (Eph 2:6), restoring us to God (Ps 23:3) and reconciling us to God (2 Cor 5-18-21), to become born (again) of the Spirit of God. For God this is normal. This is the original intent. The natural world is abnormal (they just don’t know it!) It’s time to get back to normal.
The Word of God, the words of how God thinks, the action of how God lives, is a seed (Luke 8:11) from the glory of God (John 1:14) that was invested in us. The glory now belongs to us (Rom 3:23). The planted seed (sown in the earth), died and was tried by the fire of hell and of death (Acts 2:24) and rose again (1 Cor 15:35) proclaiming ‘all power is given unto me’ (Matt 28:19). As He is, so are we in the world! (1 John 4:17).
The Holy Spirit of God tells us how to use the Word we have, how to worship, pray and live for God (Rom 8:28), for those who are obedient (Acts 5:32). We are to have the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Col 1:8/Eph 5:17). We humble ourselves to listen for His guidance (rhema) and reach for His annointing. In other words; deny our way of thinking, losing all to gain all, letting go and letting God. Cease to anaylize, reason, figure out, contemplate, debate and procrastinate being subject to nature.
The Spirit is before physical manifestation and is authoritative over things in the natural (Rom 4:17). Greater is the Holy Spirit in you than the spirit that is in the world. The Spirit of God delivers the living word to us (John 15:26).
We read the word (the flesh of Jesus) to learn how to think. We think the Word to change us until we see God manifested in us. We must convince our heart that God’s will is right, meditate this with our heart, and keep our heart (Prov 4:23).
We seen Jacob relying on God to make his decisions by taking speckled and spotted sheep and watching God’s provision make them strong (Gen 30). We seen Elisha servant taking his eyes off the seen world and receiving confidence in the true world (the truth is the way things really are!) (2 King 6:17). We seen Paul ask the Lord to take his ‘cup of affliction’ away from him (thorn) but humbled himself, sought God’s will and took pleasure in his infirmities (2 Cor 12:10).
With the Spirit of God we go beyond meaning well, but knowing well, and knowing all things (John 14:26). Through the knowledge of Life there’s a total absence of I wonder… or what if.. maybe God will move later..With the Spirit in our current way of thinking, He goes from the God of I used to be or will be, to the God I AM. The secret things belong to us and God and our children forever (Deut 29:29).
