In one of the most famous underdog stories in the world, We see David with five stones, in a battle with Goliath and Israel’s enemies (1Sam 17). After the death of Goliath, all his other enemies ran away in fear. He still had four stones left.
There was a time in our life when we needed to call upon the Lord for help against a giantenemy. Perhaps for your eternal life was at stake. Maybe it was cancer. Maybe it was death itself. You spoke, and God came through. Your enemies are still afraid because you have more stones left. You may have another enemy trying to make you “put your bag down”. Your enemies have already been defeated. Those losers are like a mouse, are more afraid of you then you could be of them. But they will try to make you think you’re a fluke.
If this might be you, or someone you know, it may be time to reload:
The Five Stones:
1) Supernatural Power
2) True Word
3) Omnipotent Assurance
4) New Faith
5) Everlasting Persistence
When you pray, you have a supernatural power within you to back up the words you speak from
A Father who loves you, with a Spirit that connects. (Rom 8:37)
David had a Word from the Lord and so do you. When you know the truth, it will make you free! The victorious promises of the Word are sure and true (2 Cor 1:20)
Your blessed assurance that the Word will work will give you the confidence you need. Always have faith in God and stir up the gift within you. (Hebrews 10:35)
We need our fresh daily bread. You will rise up each morning and let the living Word become new and alive inside you. (Is 43:19)
Your endurance, your asking, seeking and knocking and having done all to just stand, will outlast any opponent or circumstance. (1 Peter 1:17)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Get ready to throw another stone!
