Greek Word Study: word
We will look at the two greek words for ‘word’
logos: Is what God has said. The Word spoken forth from the foundation of the world manifested to destroy the works of the devil.
rhema: Is what God is saying through the Holy Spirit about a current or future event
Some Logos verses:
Matt 4:4 “It is written that man should not live by bread alone, but by every word (logos) that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”
Luke 8:11 “… The seed is the word (logos) of God”
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word (logos), and the Word (logos) was with God, and the Word (logos) was God”
John 8:31 “… If you continue in my word (logos), ye are my disciples indeed”
Acts 4:31 “…and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word (logos) of God with boldness”
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word (logos) of Christ dwell in you richly with all wisdom..”
1 Thess 1:5 ” For our gospel came not to you in word (logos) only, but also in power,
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word (logos) of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword..”
