Our new born again spirit has the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16). We want to pray the perfect will of God, we want to pray like Jesus and experience the immediacies of God for healing, provision and ministry (Matt 6:10), but sometimes our natural thinking gets in the way. Our humanistic reasoning, estimating, speculating and personal experience can counter balance the faith that God has given to us. Faith will not consult you of the things of God. Faith doesn’t pay attention to our flesh, past failures and is not impressed with our limitations. Faith will take you from I can’t; to I can. Faith will place a demand on the gifts of the Spirit and produce expectations of greatness. Faith knows not to get the answer, but knows you already have it.
When we are alone (or with a consenting fellowship) praying in the spirit (in tongues) and building ourselves in our Most holy faith, we edify ourselves (1 Cor. 14:4, Jude 1:20). Our perfected spirit verbally prays perfect prayers for us and other mysteries that God uses our mouth to permit things to happen all over the world (Matt 16:19, Heb 2:8), as the Spirit takes care of our weaknesses in prayer (Rom 8:26). We won’t doubt what we say if we don’t understand it, and won’t give our carnal mind a chance to reason and speculate or philosophy unbelief in our heart (Prov. 4:23, Rom 8:6). Let your spirit pray (Eph 6:18).
According to our faith, things will happen in our life when we pray and receive. Most of us are solid with the assurance of salvation and the guarantee that His blood gave us a new covenant with our sins forgiven ahead of time (Rom 10:9, Heb 8:12), but some don’t carry the confidence of the latter part of this verse; “who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases” (Ps 103:2). Let the Word be alive and more than a letter to you (2 Cor 3:6). Boost your confidence with more prayer in the spirit (Jude 1:20).
The bible is the only book that shows you what happens not only in the physical world, but also the unseen spiritual world (2 Kings 6:17, Eph 2:6). It also tells you what happens and what you can do in the spiritual (Matt 18:18, Luke 10:19). You’re more than just a religious “Christian”, subject to the laws of this world. You are a believer with power. Power is the ability to cause or prevent an action. You have the power on your side to conquer anything the enemy puts out (Luke 10:20). God cannot lie and is obligated to give you what He has promised for our physical world. His Word is our divine right, so we look on the bright side and grow into a Knowing of the unseen. A Knowing that we have this treasure in earthen vessels to have constant victory (2 Cor 4:7, 1 John 5:4), Jesus is praying that your faith doesn’t fail and He’ll finish what He started in you (Acts 10:34, Luke 22:32, 2 Thess 3:3). Never underestimate the power of His seed in you. Faith is taking you farther than you can take yourself.
Spiritual exercise:
• View an unfavorable circumstance (violent waves, dead body, big tumor etc).
• See the Yes answer in the Word (2 Cor 1:20)
• See the Yes happening every time in the spiritual world.
• Go to a public place and see someone in a wheel chair getting out before you pray for them.
If your natural faith does not concur, let your spirit pray until you can see it in the spirit. This is one way to cast down imaginations and accelerate your agreement in the weapons of our warfare (2 Cor 10:4, 5).
We need a daily supply of food for our spiritual belly (Matt 6:11). We taste and see that the Lord is good, then we chew (consider) on his Word and digest it (eat) to experience abundant spiritual life (Ps 34:8, 119:95, John 6:56). Our acceptance of each part of Him (no picking and choosing) makes a circumcision (covenant) of the heart (Rom 2:29). Because there is a lot of ‘junk food’ out there, many are confused with mixed thoughts from messages heard with our natural ears, or seen with our natural eyes that stop the total salvation (sozo) process (Matt 13:13, Rom 10:10). We meditate on His promises to write (have a constant sign of internal proof) mercy on the table of our heart (Ps 119:99, Prov. 3:3).
When the 12 spies from Israel when out to see the Promised Land, 10 came back with a bad report (Ex 13:31-33). Sometimes when we have heard of our spiritual land of promises, we remembered reports that kept us in the wilderness much longer than we had to be (Heb 4:11). To eliminate these, we find out if these reports are true by lining them up with the Word (Acts 17:11). Then we meditate on what we know is true (1 Tim 4:15).
A name of one spy was Shammuah (renowned). He helped make it popular that God would not continue to conquer the enemies like before. Another spy, Ammiel (people of God) sounded convincing as a ruler in Israel, but was so used to living with bondage in Egypt thinking what the world gave him was better than being free (Num 11:5). A name of another spy was Nahbi (meaning occult). He helped start a culture of unbelief (Ex 14:1). One of the spies name was Oshea (Joshua). His name means deliverer. Refuse to consider and accept the mediocre (at best) report that the world will have (Is 53:1).
For example; if you ask yourself why you don’t believe you can’t heal someone lame from birth, and you hear inyour heart (2 Cor 13:5):
• “Nobody does that anymore, God won’t help you again” (Shammuah)
• “You can put up with this, bondage is not so bad, We’ll get to the promised land eventually ” (Ammiel)
• “You can’t do that, that’s impossible, only if it’s God’s will” (Nahbi)
Take these lies out by the root and meditate on verses like; Mark 16:17, 18, Luke 10:19, Rom 3:3-4 until it is confidently settled in your heart (Prov. 23:7). Let the good reports silence the bad reports in your heart (Luke 12:2, Rom 12:1, Phil 3:13, Col 1:9, 10). Helping one to receive is also easier with your confidence that can be heard with someone’s inner ear. You will prosper (Ps 1:3).
If you are experiencing a long time attack from the enemy, whether it was a religion that kept you bound with only entertainment, a feeling of belonging or didn’t tell you the Word is health to your flesh (Prov 3:8, Rom 10:17), you may have built up faith that you would not be whole (Eph 5;11). You may have pictures in your mind about a future with unmet needs (Gal 6:8). Realize how big you are in God, now that your blood bought body is His house and Let your spirit pray heaven on earth until it is confidently settled in your heart (Matt 6:10, John 16:13, 1 Cor 3:9, 6:20).
Do you need new body parts? Picture this: God has it, so you can have it. He is a need supplying spirit (Matt 10:8, Luke 11:9-11, Phil 4:19). Meditate on what will go right and that God is giving you His word to overcome (John 17:11). Put on the new man and agree with your new born again spirit (Eph 4:24). God loves you too much not to give you an unlimited supply from His abundance (Ps 84:11). We don’t receive by need, but faith (Heb 11:1). Let your spirit pray and build your faith (Jude 1:20).
You will fear (consider) no evil to befall you (Ps 23:4, 91:10). You will be pro-active in meditation (instead of inactive, reactive or retro-active), so if a plague comes upon your entire community you already see yourself in health (Ps 91:10). Christ is in you (Col 1:27). You have more power in your body than Elisha did when his dead bones raised another body from the dead (2 Kings 13:21). God has no limit or lack planned for your life (Jer 29:11, Ps 23:1). You will pay attention to God and not circumstances (Prov 4:20-22). God will satisfy you with an assurance of the outcome before it comes (1 John 5:4).
You are a ruler in this present world (1 Pet 2:9, 1 John 4:17). God paints the picture of this for you in the living Word (John 20:29). Rivers of living water will flow out of your full belly because you believed and accepted his Word (John 7:38, Philemon 1:6). God is only good and wants you whole and free (1 John 4:8, 3 John 1:2). His love pursued you while you were yet a sinner (Rom 5:8), and will continue to pursue your much more now that you’re family and justified by His blood (Rom 5:9). Because you are His disciple, His truth make you lie down in green pastures, His truth will make you free, His Truth paid the highest price to do so (John 3:16, 8:32)
When we finally see in the spirit what we can have, we pray that we can interpret what we are saying in the spirit and grow into a maturity that gives us a higher level of Knowing all things (1 Cor 14:13, 1 John 2:20). God will come for a mighty church (Eph 4:11-17, Rev 19:7), and any name in the world will now bow to the Name that is in us that is above every name (Eph 1:20-22, Col 1:27). Let your spirit pray, and know that any name that comes up has to bow to the authority resident within you. Whether it is Legion, incurable, contagious, terminal, tumor, back pain, death, tsunami, etc, you have overcome the world (1 John 4:4). Let your spirit pray (1 Cor 14:18, 1 Thess 5:17).
